| Peter and Marilyn Goertzen originated the farm tours in 1989 at Maplewood Farm near Kleefeld, MB. The Lawrenson family has lived in Sanford since 2004 and have worked with our parents, the Goertzens, since 2007 to establish the farm tours at this location. Morning Sound Farm is a reclaimed feedlot that is benefiting from sustainable farming practices. Year round pasturing, natural fertilizer gardening and proper care of waterways are all habits that promote restoration of the land. Tourism is another sustainable practice that increases the awareness of the next generation. We want to help visitors gain a greater appreciation for life on the farm. |  |
