birthday parties

Birthday parties at Morning Sound Farm are available as a tour and on Family Days.

The regular hours, prices and conditions apply for these. (group minimum would apply to tours)

Tours:  May through June- Monday-Friday, July- Tuesday-Friday                     10 am- 2 pm only

Family Days (2019):  May 18th, June 8th, Canada Day and all Saturdays in July        10 am- 4 pm

Group Tour option

On weekdays, we offer a pre-booked group tour for a minimum of 25 people, or a minimum cost of $200, if you have fewer people.  The details of these tours can be found on our website. These are only available Monday-Friday daytime, so they run from 10-2 with a break for lunch.  The cost is $8 per person, with a minimum charge of $200 per group.

Family Days

On Family Days, we are open to the public from 10-4.  You pay at the entrance, park and then spend your time as you wish- petting animals, pony rides, hayrides, milking and shearing (these last two are on the schedule), as well as picnicking and gifts.  I recommend 3 1/2 to 4 hours to do all of this.  People usually arrive, give 1-2 hours to see and do the activities, then have a set time to eat together, with enough time afterward to play or see the animals again if desired.  If you are paying for your party, ask them to mention your name at the gate, I will keep track of the total number and you can pay me in one lump sum (alternatively, people can pay their own entrance fee)– regardless, it is $8 per person, cash or e-transfer only.  Also, you can ask to reserve tables ahead of time, although this is usually not necessary. If you would like to arrange a meeting place, I can suggest one for you, but usually it works fine to have people arrive and start to enjoy the farm– it’s not that hard to find your friends here  For any of these preparations, please tell me ahead of time the name of the birthday child. So for your invitation plans, tell people a meeting time (and place, if you want), tell them (if you are paying for them) to mention the birthday name at the gate, otherwise to bring cash to pay $8 per person, and send them to our website map to get them here.

Feedback

(comments from a birthday girl…)

“I had my 11th birthday at Morning Sound Farm. This was probably the BEST birthday party ever. My favourite animals are horses pigs and dogs and I’m glad I got to see them all. All the girls enjoyed the farm. THANK YOU MORNING SOUND FARM!!!!!!!!!!”

(from a parent holding birthday party on a Family Day)

“I just want to thank your whole family for allowing us to have an incredible birthday party at your farm today!  We were celebrating my son’s birthday, and everything from the hayride, to the goat milking, to the sheep shearing, to the pony rides, etc., was just exactly what we needed for a perfect day.

I want to thank each member of your family for welcoming us and explaining to us your inspiring way of life.  What a gift to be able to see and be included in your day to day activities. All of the people that were at our birthday party live in Winnipeg, and it was so exciting for us to be able to get out of the city for the day.

I would also like to commend you on all of the little details that you provide for your guests… sheltered eating areas, clean washroom facilities, wash stations, and freezies [for sale]… such great ideas that do not go unnoticed.

We love Morning Sound Farm, and will definitely be back!

Thanks again for everything!”
