Good-bye Winter, Hello Spring

Time to shrug off the slumber of winter and throw back our shoulders for spring, folks.

What was our winter like?

We had three kids move out on their own.

We spent time remembering lost cousins and welcoming a new grandchild.

We read a lot of books.

We took care of many animals twice daily.

We did a lot of cooking.

We worked on projects like digitizing decades of family photos for our parents.

We filled the freezers to capacity with meat and had to ask around for extra space.

We played a lot of hockey.

We taught the kids to ski.

We enjoyed multi-generational work bees.

We made art.

We made a lot of messes.

We spent time country dancing.

We made music.

We watched the premier of another episode of the documentary of our farm life, "Dawn".

Winter is a sweet time. We love our seasonal life.

"What do you do in winter?"

Lots of people ask us what we do in the winter, maybe wondering if we have other jobs or just vacation in the off season. We welcome this...
